Dental Crowns
Our dentistry work does not look like most dentistry work you will find. Whenever we work on your teeth, our goal is to provide service and quality that is undetectable. We will replace any existing crowns and fillings by using advanced techniques that will leave your teeth looking completely natural.
Sometimes your teeth might be damaged very badly and it may look beyond repair. However, with extremely damaged teeth, we can use a porcelain crown to make your smile appear brand new. The technique we use is very reliable even in the most severe cases. Our work is top quality when it comes to this technology. The treatments we provide are long-lasting, so you won’t have to get continued work again and again. Our goal is to provide a quality service that will last for 20 to 30 years or longer.
How long does fitting a crown take?
Getting a crown fit will require at least two visits to our office. During your first visit, we will examine the tooth, remove any decay, start to shape your tooth, and fit it with a temporary crown of either plastic or metal. On the second visit, we will remove the temporary crown and then make adjustments for the permanent crown. The last step is to cement the crown into position to make for a beautiful and new looking tooth
Summary of Key Benefits
- Replaces missing teeth
- Provides support to damaged and broken teeth
- Appearance is completely natural
- Can fix your smile and any existing chewing problems
People will often get crowns and bridgework as a reliable solution for severe dental problems caused by accidents, or wear and tear. The materials used in these repairs are high-grade porcelain, or porcelain which has been bonded to gold. To treat the most severe problems, we recommend using higher strength porcelain and gold materials. Accidental damage can sometimes be so bad that you might lose some of your teeth or have older crowns crack. This is where crowns or bridges can be used to permanently fix these potential problems.
Hairline cracks in your back teeth can cause discomfort and unexplained pains. These hairline fractures usually happen in the chewing part of your teeth. To relieve this pain, we recommend placing a crown on these teeth. Not only will they help with the pain, but they will allow the return of full dental function. Often in your front teeth, older fillings can actually weaken the tooth and make the appearance of your teeth less desirable from staining and chipping. In teeth with root canal fillings, crowns can prevent further breakage in the future. We will often use porcelain crowns and bridges where in cases that porcelain veneers are not suitable.
