Thank you for your patience while our offices remain closed. At Martindale Dental, we prioritize patient and staff safety. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been further advised by our regulatory body (the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario) to suspend all non-essential and elective dental procedures immediately. This is not a decision the RCDSO took lightly, and we appreciate their diligence in protecting dentists, staff, and patients alike.
As we said above, we prioritize patient safety, and the newest guidelines make it very clear that it is potentially dangerous for patients to attend the dental office to have any treatment at this time. In addition, dentists and other healthcare workers are being asked to donate their masks and gloves and other protective equipment to hospitals. We support all of our frontline healthcare workers who work tirelessly and put themselves at risk to keep us all safe. As always, we will continue to stay in regular touch with you as we learn more about reopening, which at this time is scheduled for when the emergency order is lifted by the province, pending further developments. Continue to stay safe and be well. We hope you and your families remain safe during this pandemic.
In the meantime, if you are having a DENTAL EMERGENCY, please call our offices during regular business hours or email us at:
Type the words, ‘DENTAL EMERGENCY’ in the subject line
State your full name and contact phone number
Describe your emergency as much as you can
If possible, send a photograph of the problem area
We will work to answer all emails within a 20-30 minute timeframe, unless it is an after hours or overnight correspondence. We will answer all of your emails, but if you do not hear from us within 20-30 minutes, and you are experiencing any of the following:
Facial trauma
Prolonged bleeding
Extreme pain that cannot be managed by over the counter medications
Please contact your nearest emergency room.
As always, we will continue to stay in regular touch with you as we learn more about reopening, which at this time is scheduled for when the emergency order is lifted by the province, pending further developments.
