Intraoral Camera

Many younger patients are familiar with newer technologies in the dentistry world. We use computer and TV screens as a primary method of information processing. This generally makes our patients more comfortable as this high tech practice is designed to help you feel at ease.

The goal from our doctors is to utilize intraoral camera technology to put your mind at rest and give you a more clear understanding of your diagnosis. An intraoral camera is a very small camera, and in some cases is so small that it is only a few millimeters in length. These tiny cameras allow our doctors to view and take clear images of your mouth, teeth, and gums. By doing this, we are able to make more accurate diagnosis on any potential issues. The images come out clear and very well defined. They get enlarged so you can see all the small details that a regular mirror examination might have missed. Not only does using an intraoral camera mean a more accurate diagnosis, it also means your time sitting in the dental chair is much quicker.

These images will be saved on your file as we create a permanent record of your treatments. These images can be sent to other dental offices, specialists, or insurance companies upon your request.
