Meet Dr. John Kim
Although born in Los Angeles, Dr. Kim grew up mostly in Oakville where his family currently resides. Dr. Kim first became interested in dentistry when he was a student volunteer looking after geriatric patients at local hospitals in Oakville and Hamilton. He learned how oral and general health are closely linked with each other. His passion for dentistry grew and after earning his Bachelor of Honours Integrated Science at McMaster University, he decided to pursue dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. During dental school, he became involved with various volunteer organizations including Dentists Without Borders, in which he travelled to Peru and provided free dental treatments for those without access to care. At the practice, Dr. Kim values providing comprehensive patient-centered care and creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone and their families. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially oral surgery, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Kim always strives to further educate himself through continuing education programs to provide optimal care for his patients. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kim is an avid sports fan. You can catch him talking about the NBA and the Toronto Raptors on any given day. He also enjoys music, photography, volunteering for the local community, and spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Kim is a dual-board certified practitioner in Canada and the USA. He is an active member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
